What should I bring to my appointment?
  • Any prescription glasses you currently use (including readers)
  • List of current medications & eye drops
  • Valid Ontario health card
  • Sunglasses- your eyes may be dilated at your appointment
  • Contact lens case (if you wear contact lenses)
Will my eyes be dilated?

Our doctors highly recommend dilation during eye exams to help monitor your eye health. Your eyes will most likely remain dilated for 2-4 hours after your exam.

How often should I get my eyes checked?

Our doctors recommend patients of all ages to get their eyes examined once a year to monitor eye health or any prescription changes.

How long is an eye appointment?

Typically, a comprehensive eye exam at our office takes 1.5 – 2 hours.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, e-transfer, and Apple/Google pay. We do not take American Express.

Do you take insurance?

No, our office does not do direct billing. An itemized invoice will be provided at the end of your appointment for you to submit.

Is parking available?

There is paid street parking along Danforth Ave. or Playter Blvd. Alternatively, there is paid Green P parking across the Pizza Nova located at the Danforth Ave. and Playter Blvd. intersection.

Do you take walk-ins?

Unfortunately, our office does not take walk-ins. Please contact our office to book an appointment.

Do your doctors see young children?

Yes, our optometrists examine children starting from the age of 2.

Do you do surgeries?

We are not an ophthalmology office and we do not perform ocular surgeries. If you are looking for a referral, please speak to your optometrist during your eye exam.

How long are my prescriptions valid for?

Glasses and contact lens prescriptions are both valid for 1 year.

Can I use my glasses prescription for contact lenses?

No, they are two separate prescriptions. Please refer to “Services” page for more information on contact lens assessments.

Are you taking new patients?

Yes, we are! Please contact our office to make a file and book your eye exam.

Are contact lens assessments available at both locations?

No, we only offer contact lens assessments/fittings at our Danforth office.

I’m a RGP wearer. Should I take my lenses out before my exam?

Yes! Please remove your lenses for at least 48 hours before your scheduled eye exam and bring them with you to the appointment.
